When does one get a sunny day in SF? It’s rare enough in general, but in the middle of February? Even more crazy. And usually if the sun is out, it’s still freezing. Now factor in that you’re there in the early morning in a short sleeve t-shirt and you’re not cold, just basking in the sun and soaking up some rays. Yeah. That just happened.
I met Dorena and Peter at the Cliff House this past weekend, and we walked up and down that steep hill. We hit the sand, walked around into a little cove, and dodged the incoming waves. We hoofed it back up the hill, and decided to check out the Sutro Baths, something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. And Dorena, in all of her boss-like-ness walked up and down the steps in 5″ heels. Yeah. Impressive. Okay, maybe her knight in shining armor, Peter, gave her a piggy-back ride or two, but impressive nonetheless.
I’m positive it will be a beautiful day in Northern (true northern) California when their wedding rolls around in October. And I’m grateful to have had the chance to spend a few moments with them in the beautiful blue sky, sunlit morning on the coast of one of the greatest cities in the world.
